Hi All,
Well, its Sunday morning here in Greece and in a few minutes we leave for the island of Santorini! We arrived without any difficulty and easily found our way to the proper bus to get us to the port at Rafina, Greece, we're we booked a small, but modern room in a hotel. Our room even had a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. After relaxing in the room and being "horizontal" for an hour (since we had been sleeping sitting up for so long), we went down to the beach and jumped in the blue, blue water. Ahhhh!
We went to a little outdoor restaurant last night in the small port town here, which really only consists of a shop lined street, and experience our first Ouzo! Wow! Don't think we'll be trying that again!!!! :)
Our hydrofoil to Santorini takes off shortly, so time to go! We plan to stay in a little hostel in Perissa near the south east end of the island. Hope to say hi again to you soon, next time with pictures.

Hi Amy and Sherri,
Sorry I missed your phone call this morning, Amy. You sounded really chipper after such a long trip. I'm glad all went smmoothly and you enjoyed your first night. Ouzo, Huh? Just part of the Greek experience, right? I'm following you on the map and have been looking at tourists photos on Trip Advisor of Santorini and Perrissa. What a breathtaking place!!! I can't wait to see your pictures. I guess it's 9:00 am there now, so have a fantastic day.
Love, Mom

So glad to hear you arrived safely in Greece. A balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea sounds amazing. I'll bet your smiles would put the Cheshire Cat to shame. I agree with Kori... PICTURES!
Enjoy the wonder of His favor.

We are envious of you seeing another sunset at Oia. We spent 2 weeks there with Jennifer last August. She bought a gift for Erika at Perissa and we should have told you about our dear friends who run a taverna on Perivolos beach. Roland and Irene Soar 011 30 69 449 92899 if you need any help on Santorini. In Athens we have a business associate that Jennifer met last year who may be of help- Yiannis Nakos, the comptroller at the Golden Age Hotel. In Athens do dinner down at Monastiraki where you can look across the ancient agora toward the lighted Acropolis. Otherwise there's a great sunset dinner spot atop Lycchabetus Hill- St. George's. We pray for you daily. Aloha from Kapa'a, Kauai. Dorsey and Pam Deaton
